Privacy Policy

PocketQuote ("we", "us") is a free quote and invoice builder for tradespeople and freelancers. It runs entirely in your own browser. This policy explains what happens to the information you type into it, what our host records, and how to reach us.
Your quotes never leave your device
This is the important part, so it comes first. Everything you enter into PocketQuote — your business name and contact details, your client's name and job address, line items, prices, your tax rate, your cost figures, and any logo you upload — is stored in your own browser's local storage, on the device you are using. It is never transmitted to us. We have no server that receives it, no account system, and no database of quotes. We cannot read your quotes, and we could not produce them if someone asked us to. Completing a quote records that it happened, as described under Analytics and cookies below, and still sends none of what you typed.
The same is true of the email address box and the feedback box. Both save what you type in your browser only. Email delivery is not connected, and the page tells you so when you use it.
Because the data lives in your browser, clearing your browser storage for this site deletes it permanently, and we cannot recover it. Using a different device or browser shows you a different, empty set of quotes.
What our host records
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, it logs standard technical information when a page is requested — IP address, browser and device type, referring page and the URL requested — to serve the site and protect it from abuse. We use that only to keep the site running.
Analytics and cookies
We set no cookies of our own. There is no advertising, no tracking pixel and no behavioural profiling here, and nothing on this site tries to work out who you are or follow you to another site.
Two things are counted, both without cookies and both in aggregate:
- Page visits. Our host, Cloudflare, runs its Web Analytics on this site. It records that a page was loaded, along with the page address, the referring site and coarse device and country information. It does not use cookies and does not build a profile across sites.
- That a quote was calculated. When you finish a quote, the page records the single fact that a quote was completed, by loading a tiny counting page in the background. It carries none of your figures: no line items, no prices, no totals, no tax rate, no client or business details, no identifier of any kind, and nothing in the web address that would describe your quote. It is a count and nothing more.
Why we count that second thing. The calculator runs entirely in your browser, so without it we have no way of knowing whether anyone has ever found this tool useful, only that pages were opened. We would rather count one honest fact than add a tracker that follows you.
The one third-party request
Pages on this site load a PDF library, jsPDF, from the public CDN at cdnjs.cloudflare.com, which is what powers the "Export PDF" button. Loading a file from a CDN reveals your IP address to that CDN, as it would on any site that uses one. Nothing about your quote is sent with that request — the PDF is built in your browser after the library arrives. The offline "Print / Save as PDF" option does not use it at all.
How we use information
We use the technical information described above only to keep the site working. We do not sell personal information, and we have no personal information from this tool to sell.
Your choices
To delete everything PocketQuote has stored, clear this site's data in your browser settings, or use the delete controls next to each saved quote and the "Remove logo" button. If you would like to know what we hold about a visit, or want something deleted, email us at the address below and we will respond promptly.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if the site or its tools change. The date at the top will always reflect the most recent update.
Contact
Email [email protected] and we will reply. That address forwards to a monitored mailbox; it is the right place for a question about this policy, a deletion request, or a bug report.
